A couple
of mutated killer wasps escape from a
laboratory and it doesn't take long before they
reproduce. With a swarm of deadly wasps attacking
people having barbecues, it's up to two
scientists to stop these wasps before the swarm
grows too big. But how do you kill wasps when
bug spray doesn't even affect them?

The Sci-Fi channel rarely manage to produce good
creature features and when they try to take on
the killer bee genre, everything goes horribly
wrong. With a story so unoriginal and clichéd
that you've predicted the entire movie after
five minutes, it's difficult not to push the
stop button. In fact, it took me five attempts
before I managed to watch this til the very end.
It doesn't help that the movie is rated PG-13,
and therefore doesn't have any gore in it at
all, or that the bees look incredibly CGI-made.
Nor does it help that the director insists on
showing us the view from the wasps eyes every
now and then. There are just so many ridiculous
things about this movie that I can't be bothered
going on complaining about them.
Swarmed is by far the worst killer bee movie
that I've seen to this date and I pray to god
that the Sci-Fi channel has realized that we've
had enough of killer bee movies. They're all
pretty much the same and just like with the
killer shark genre, most of them are rubbish.
This was just a very stupid movie and I just
don't see any reason to why you should have to
put yourself through this mess.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Standard stuff.

As you can see I didn't bother giving this a
very long review, mainly because there isn't
much to say about this movie that hasn't all
ready been said. It doesn't have a single
original bone in it and I suggest that you
skip this killer wasp flop.
