Six rich
friends celebrate their last night together now that
school has finished by playing a game called Taboo. Everyone
gets a note, which has sexual questions on them. One year
later, the friends gather for New Year's Eve to have a little
reunion. But when a letter is mysteriously left at the door,
including six notes in it, the friends start dropping dead,
with one of the notes next to them.
I know what
you're thinking, just another teenage slasher...
But first of all, we haven’t gotten a proper teen slasher for
ages now, and they are very rare these days. Second of all,
this has something the average teenage slasher doesn't...
it has class. This reminded me awfully a lot of RSVP, this
was basically a slasher version of RSVP. You would also assume
that there is a lot of nudity in this film, well, get this,
we don't even get a tit shot!
There are many familiar faces in the cast and they are all
very talented actors. Beats me why this didn't get a cinema
release with a cast like this. Max Makowski gives us an
average horror tribute, nothing special at all, very slashery
directing. Still, I would rather called this an erotic
thriller than a slasher.
There are many deceits and twists in this slasher, and when
you think that the film is finishing, something really
unexpected happens and it keeps going for another 20 minutes,
I'm surprised it ever gotten to an end. When I first heard
of this, I didn't feel very interested, the cover is very
dull aswell and isn't very eye-catching at all. But the more
I read about the movie, the more interested I got. Well, it's
safe to say that this didn't live up to my expectations, but
it was still an entertaining little thriller.

As I said, this is a very classy slasher, which also means
that this doesn't have any gore in it... this was rated R why?
According to imdb it was for language (what language? English?
there sure as hell wasn't much swearing going on in this movie),
sexual content (oh some sex noises you mean?), and some
violence (well, there was some violence, ok).

A very original music score, but I can't put my finger
on what I should call it... Well, it resembled a bit to the
soundtrack in American Psycho 2. Some sexy strings.

Classy, sexy slasher, which is definitely worth at least one
watch. Everyone will recognize at least one actor I'm almost
certain. Don't get fooled by the plot though, it isn't erotic
by any means, and it might aswell have been rated PG-13 in
my opinion... but I guess, if May's original poster must be
banned, this does deserve R...?
