Leslie's boyfriend Josh is giving her a hard time
lately so Leslie decides to go with her friend to
Lake Tenkiller. She thinks that she's escaping
the terror from back home, but what she doesn't
know is that she's running right into the arms
of terror.

You have to give me some credit for managing to
stay awake through some of the movies that I
review. Terror At Tenkiller is one of the dullest
slasher movies I have ever seen. It was in fact
so dull that the friend I was watching it with
fell asleep halfway through the movie. To be
honest, I wish I had fallen asleep as well as
he didn't miss anything. Terror At Tenkiller is
basically a slow moving drama about a girl trying
to get rid of her abusive boyfriend but I guess
the scriptwriter decided that the story was too
weak and threw in a psychopath killer who is one
of the nicest killers ever. Come on, the body
count is extremely low, I think there were five
murders in the entire movie.

The acting is completely abysmal and as if that
wasn't enough, the actors have actually been fed
with some of the most pathetic dialogues in
movie history. For example; Leslie's friend wants
her to jump into the water and Leslie says "Isn't
there fish in the water?". Seriously, how stupid can
a person get, it's a lake, of course there's fish
in the water. The directing is also really bad
and I completely hated the photography as you
could hardly tell what was going on in some of
the night scenes.

There is nothing believable about the movie at
all. It tries hard to be a Friday The 13th rip-off
but drowns in all the stupid dialogues and
dull subplots. I expected this to be bad but
I really didn't expect it to be this bad. If
you're looking for a slasher movie, this is
not the one for you. The killer's identity is
revealed from the first scene so there's really
nothing that will keep you from turning the
movie off. I guess I'm just too motivated for
my own good sometimes.

We get a couple of slit throats and a hilariously
pathetic arm dismemberment scene.

Naturally this movie was filled with cheesy synth
music. It's the 80's so it's standard.

Abysmal slasher flick which has absolutely nothing
going for it. The movie is built up by a bunch
of stupid subplots and the slasher part of the
movie is never in focus. In fact, the movie is
more like a drama than a horror movie.
