A girl gets
killed in a tragic accident at a
private school. Two years later, Christmas eve,
a serial killer in a Santa Claus suit starts
to kill the girls at the school. Will anyone
survive this Christmas eve of terror or have
they all been naughty?

This is your typical 80s slasher flick with
girls in a sorority getting killed by a masked
killer. The concept has really been done to
death but considering the fact that this was
one of the first movies with this concept I've
tried to do a review as fair as possible. Horror
legend David Hess has directed this Christmas
slasher flick which struggles through the dark
holiday season. You see, the movie might be
gory and have an incredibly high body count but
the movie is very dull at times and it feels a
whole lot longer than it actually is.
David Hess should really stick to acting as his
directing in this flick really isn't that good.
It's almost impossible to see what's going on
in the darker scenes of the movie and most of
the movie takes place at night so that makes
this movie really difficult to watch. The acting
is anything but good. We get a lot of overacting
and some of the most pathetic screams I have
ever witnessed. These girls look like they have
never experienced fear in their lives.
To All A Good Night is still not a bad movie
however. It has its weak and slow parts but
ultimately it follows the slasher formula
quite well. I didn't guess who the killer was
until only a few seconds before the killer's
identity was revealed. If you're a fan of
masked slasher movies from the 80s I definitely
suggest you give this one a shot because it
is quite gory and as I said before, the
body count is relatively high.

We get bloody stabs, some slit throats, a rock
jammed into ones head, a brutal decapitation,
an arrow through head, an axe in head and a
whole lot more.

It was nice to hear that the soundtrack wasn't
as cheesy as I thought that it would be. It's
full of nice and atmospheric violin music and
surprisingly enough we get very little synth
music. Pretty damn nice.

Fairly enjoyable slasher which gets a bit too
slow at many times. Follows the basic slasher
formula and has a high body count. A definite
must for anyone who enjoys the occasional 80s
slasher. If you've seen many of these before
however, you might feel that it is a bit too
unoriginal even though it was one of the first
in its class.
