It all begins with the discovery of two dead children
in a subway. After that, Jeong-won starts having
creepy nightmares and visions of the two children
haunting him. He figures that it's just his imagination
playing tricks on him... until one day when he helps
a woman who fainted and brings her home to his
apartment. Before she leaves she tells him to put
his children to sleep... it's then that he realises
that the ghosts of the two children might not be
just his imagination. This is just the beginning of
a very dramatic story involving hate, betrayal and
unfortunate love.

Boy was this a let down. I've actually been trying
to avoid watching this film for quite a while now
as I thought that it looked, well, uninteresting...
and that it was. What starts out as a light looking
horrormovie quite quickly turns into a way too
powerful and dramatic drama. The Uninvited did
certainly not live up to its genre as I never even
got the feeling that it was a horrormovie. I don't
even think that I would ever have guessed that
it was rated as one if I didn't already know it.
Many Asian horrormovies are directed by beginners
these days and they usually turn out very good,
if not even excellent at times. This movie was
also directed by a beginner but this time it was
not as impressive. The directing felt unoriginal
and the colours were either way too strong or
way too grey. There was also a lot of overdone
acting so that didn't save the movie either.
I don't think that I've ever seen a movie as
depressing as this. I mean, there was no positive
energy surrounding this movie at all. Even the
most depressing movies do need some lighter moments
but this was just two hours of self pity and
non-stop crying. I really don't see the fun in
watching these kind of movies but I guess that
it was at least quite well done and there was a
couple of moments that made this movie worth the
time so I can't give it less than a one in rating.

Did someone say people jumping of a building? Well
that's all the gore you're going to get in this one
and believe me, you will get a lot of homosapiens
sapiens falling down a building.

This was like hearing an orchestra dying in pain.
I just wish that they had died sooner. I guess I
don't have to say anything else about this part.

Some short scenes in this movie might make you
think of such movies like Ringu and Uzumaki and
even that didn't save this movie. This is only
for people who like to get depressed obviously
cause it wasn't good on any level, not even if
you look at it through an artsy perspective.
It was simply not a good way of spending time.
