When Amanda gets kidnapped by a gang of vampires
while on vacation in Thailand with her boyfriend
Connor. Connor decides to start looking for her
but the police is to no assistance. He seeks help
from a couple of vampire fighters but it seems
impossible to get Amanda back. In order to get her
back, he has to become a vampire himself and fight
the evil vampires. Will he succeed or will he not
only fail to save Amanda’s life but will he also
fail to stay alive himself?

I do believe that this is officially the third movie
in the "Vampires" saga but I'm not 100% sure. If
it is I'd have to say that production values have
gone from bad to worse. The first one was a
theatrical movie, the second was direct to video
and now I catch this directly on satellite TV? The
weirdest thing is that I personally liked this the
most out of the three movies. The entire movie
takes place in Thailand and the quite simple plot
is actually rather intriguing. It's got a lot of
Thai fight scenes that'd make 12 year old boys go
"YEAH! Kick his ass!" and anyone who can't enjoy
cheesy fight scenes like those are seriously dull.
We also have some long motorcycle chase scenes which
tend to keep us interested.

I read on IMDB that a guy had seen this on TV just
like me and he says "The movie is about a young
couple somewhere in Asia (maybe in China, I don't
think the movie specifies)." You have to laugh at
these stupid people. The opening credits are both
in Thai and English and it's so obvious that it
takes place in Thailand since it's Thai boxing and
Thai letters all over the place. Let me remind you
that Chinese and Thai letters are not in the least
similar to each other. I just had to comment on that
as that was the stupidest thing I've ever read.

With that being said I have to remind you that the
movie does have its serious flaws as well. First
of all, the story isn't very complex as I said
before. Second of all, people walk around like
nothing even though vampires roam the streets, just
as if they see vampires everyday. They don't even
seem to care when people crash into their shops
on the streets. The acting isn't exactly top notch
either, and the contacts that the vampires use
look like they've been bought on contacts-r-us.com.
Either way, the photography is beautiful and this
is a good way to end the Vampires series, let's
just hope that this is the end of it.

We get two gory impalements, a couple of melting
vampires and a gory beheading. Not completely
unsatisfying but I did expect some more gore.

As you can guess it's mainly rock and techno-rock
music in it. I would have expected some Thai
music as well for atmosphere but this movie had
no real atmosphere at all.

The best of the "Vampires" movies, thank god it
didn't star Jon Bon Jovi. It's an all right
flick to check out on TV but renting it on DVD
would probably not have been a choice I would
have made. Anyway, if it's on again, I suggest
you check it out, it's nothing like the previous
two movies, it's much more entertaining.
