Six friends break into an abandoned house late one
night to play the spirit of the glass. They all
come to the agreement that they should never ask
the question "Who Are You?". Well, when someone
accidentally does, the friends start dying one by
one. Will anyone be able to escape the spirit of
the glass' vengeance?

This low budget Swedish horror flick was made way
too late. Most of us have all ready grown sick of
teen ouija board slashers by now. We've all ready
seen movies like "Ghost Rig" and "Long Time Dead"
and even if those two were good movies, I never
did feel any need of a sequel or a rip-off. Well,
"Vem Är Du?" (roughly translated into Who Are You?)
is basically "Long Time Dead" with a much lower
budget and in Swedish language with a frustrating
dialect that people from the south of Sweden has.
When a southern Swedish girl says the word "Condom"
you can't do anything else but to laugh. But
funny dialects aside, I mean, it's not like I'm
giving it a bad review due to a dialect, there are
lots of terrible things to be said about this movie
and naturally I will be trying to point out every
single one of them.
First we have the absolutely HORRID directing and
photography. I know they used a cheap camera for
the movie but come on, this looks like it was made
by some students, and honestly, if they were graded
on the directing, they would have a big fat F on
their report card. The acting makes this look like
a bad high school play as none of these people can
really act in front of a camera. I'm guessing that
some of them might have taken acting courses but
if they did, it was probably for doing plays and
not for doing movies as their skills seem to have
been misplaced. As if it wasn't bad enough to have
bad actors, the actors have also been fed with
ridiculously bad dialogues and most of the dialogue
consists of talk about the spirit of the glass and
sex. Seriously, there seems to be no other topic
for them to talk about, what a dull gang of friends.
One of the girls is so sex obsessed that it would
scare the living hell out of most guys, and for
crying out loud, this chick isn't even hot!
While it's always nice to see horror movies from
your home country, movies like "Vem Är Du?" really
does put you off. It's not a very long movie and
the DVD screener that I got only had three
chapters. Well guess what, nothing even remotely
creepy happens in the first two chapters and
what happens in the third chapter is far from
enough to pull this movie out of its misery.
There are a few good Swedish horror movies out
there so I suggest that you avoid this one as
it hasn't got a whole lot to offer. It was a
good attempt... well, it was an attempt to make
a low budget Swedish horror flick but these
kids failed miserably.

Nothing worth mentioning.

Oh the terror! My poor ears! The soundtrack consists
of cheesy MIDI music and even cheesier piano music.
This is not my idea of a good horror score. We also
get some terrible rock music. The only positive
thing I have to say about the soundtrack is that
there was one slow moving drumbeat track that was
pretty good and made the movie feel more professional
for the few seconds that it played.

An abysmal Swedish horror flick which feels like it
was made by a couple of students, not film students,
just regular students. Incredibly slow, incredibly
dull and incredibly stupid.
