A bunch of
animal rights activists break into a lab
to release the test subjects, only to discover that
there are no animals to save. With a group of security
guards after them, the teens have to hide in the
basement. What they don't know is that they've just
ran into the lab's current experiment, and it's got
a taste for flesh...

I know you're probably thinking that this is a creature
feature, well it's not. Warriors Of Terra is a poor
mix between Species and The Grudge, and not only has
it got an incredibly generic story (LD50 - Lethal Dose,
28 Days Later, Species etc), but it's also poorly
executed with tons of plot holes and ridiculous twists.
The movie revolves around a group of anarchistic green
peace rejects who decide to break into a lab to release
the animals. Naturally, things don't go very well and
when a couple of security guards come after them, they
have to hide in the basement of the building. Things
go from bad to worse when they discover that they've
just ran into the lab's latest experiment (gee, I did
not see that coming, especially not since we saw the
exact same thing in the far superior movie Lethal Dose).
This time it's not a supernatural force hunting the
teens though, it's an all new updated Grudge girl,
who's apparently not a ghost, but can still disappear
quickly since she's got super powers.
As you can probably tell, the story is absolutely
ridiculous, and furthermore, it's surprisingly dull.
With not a single likable character in sight, it's
hard to stay interested in the thin plot which never
really goes anywhere (the climax was a dud). Edward
Norton (who's gone from A-list to D-list in less than
five years) has a small part in it as well, and in a
"surprise" twist, he goes from being the nice guy, to
one of the villains. If you ask me, we all ready had
enough of villains to begin with. If it's not the
evil girl, it's the evil boss, and if it's not the
evil boss, it's the no-good security team. Enough all
ready! We get it, saving animals is a bad idea.
Ultimately, Warriors Of Terra is a dull, clichéd and
unoriginal sci-fi horror flick which is not worth your
time or your money. I honestly don't know whether it
was a good or a bad thing that we didn't see what was
going on for most of the time since it was so dark.
Either way, I highly advice you to skip this one.

Some blood, nothing special, it was all too
dark to see anyway.

Average stuff, couldn't have saved the movie even if
it was written by Beethoven.

Dull, predictable and clichéd twist on the creepy ghost
girl concept which doesn't work on any level. We've
seen it all before and I think most of us are sick of
it by now. If you want to watch some strange chick
with long black hair make strange insect noises, be
my guest, but I wouldn't recommend it.
