A family takes a trip from the city to the cold snowy countryside,
on the way there they hit a deer, unfortunatly for them, some hunters
who had been hunting the same deer for hours get pissed and it doesn't
take very long until the father in the family realises that they may
have brought a mad killer on themselves.

This incredibly slow and boring movie makes no sense at all, until
like the 5 last minutes where the whole movie gets explained, but
during the movie, you are just bored and confused. Almost everywhere
you look on the net you will only find positive reviews of this...
WHY?? What can possibly be that good about this?

The two things that the movie has going for itself is the acting and
the directing. The acting is top notch by every actor, it actually
surprised me that this didn't get a US cinema release, as I believe
it got released in cinemas in almost all asian countries and did
quite well, tell me if I'm mistaking. The directing is good, but not
great, it sometimes felt as if the directors really had to struggle,
not to make it look like a lowbudget movie.

The special effects are also well done and not overused, I didn't think
it was possible for me not to like a horrormovie set in the winter,
but what do you know, this sure as hell did the trick, at some points
I was so dead bored I felt like turning of the film and throw it in
the bin, even if I've seen a lot worse flicks, this flick didn't even
keep me interested, which is by the way not very hard. I still think
it is worth a rent, because you have to beware that this is the second
time I watch this movie, I watched it about a year ago aswell and
found it a bit more entertaining that time.

Some rare bloodshedding and a bloody hammer, nothing that makes your
stomach turn.

I found the soundtrack really boring, I mean, yes, the indian bongo
drums is a great idea to create atmosphere for thsi kind of a movie,
but seriously, they should've usen a lot eerier drums and indian
music, I didn't see much effort in the soundtrack department at all.

It's a fairly enjoyable movie... the first time, if you like it the
first time, don't see it again, don't get your hopes up on this one,
and don't trust everything you read!
