A couple of friends go to a "haunted" house in the
middle of nowhere where a low budget horror movie is
currently being shot. They are soon joined by two
grave plunders who are running away from a bunch of
flesh eating zombies. Now, the friends have to find
a way to get back home and avoid getting eaten by
the cannibalistic zombies.

Low budget zombie flicks, is there anything more risky
to rent? I don't think so. As I had no idea that The
Wickeds was a DTV zombie flick I actually bought it
since I thought the cover art was pretty decent. Well,
The Wickeds turned out to be a huge disappointment.
The story does not only include zombies, but we also
get to encounter vampires, ghosts and possessions!
Come on, choose one for crying out loud! I had heard
pretty good things about this movie as well so when
I started watching it I was surprised to see that it
was filmed with what looks like a home DV-cam and even
if I normally don't mind no-budget horror movies, this
movie was so terribly shot that you get sea-sickness
from the shaky camerawork.

This is a great movie for people who love ultra
cheap zombie movies though. Personally, I had to
change the time on my DVD display so that it showed
me how much I had left to watch rather than how
much I had seen just because I thought it dragged
on for so long. I've tried to survive through zombie
flicks like this before though (Bone Sickness and
Meat Market come to mind) and I usually never make
it through the entire thing. At least I was able to
see the entire movie this time so that's actually
the only reason to why I'm giving this a rating of
one rather than a zero.

Since I'm not a big zombie fan I'm probably the
wrong person to review this but I mean, I think one
should be able to expect something with a little
more class than this. The dialogue is dreadful and
the acting is just bearable, even if Ron Jeremy
stars in the movie. If you're a zombie fan however,
I suggest that you give this one a shot but if
you, like me, only like the classics and a few
recent zombie flicks this might not appeal to you
that much so rent a classic again instead.

We get dismemberments, arms and legs being ripped off,
a very cool shovel in the stomach scene and a whole
lot of blood splatter.

Ugh! I hate cheesy metal rock music in horror movies,
especially when the same songs are played over and
over again!

Definitely not my cup of tea. Cheap zombie flick which
drags on for too long and never really gets anywhere.
Might be entertaining for true zombie fans but seeing
as how I still miss how the zombie movies were back
in the old days, this really wasn't something that I
found myself enjoying.
